Wear it Yellow

Thankyou so much to everyone who was able to participate in our 'Wear it Yellow' fundraiser on the 31st of May. Grade 3/4 students celebrated the day by completing each of the following activities:

  • Indigenous games such as Emu Tag and Gitja (small group tag game)
  • Artefacts Presentation
  • Hands for Bunjil's wings (collaborative artwork)
  • Weaving

A special thanks to our KESO Jess and Mrs Hamilton for their fantastic organisation of these events to share with each of the Grade 3/4 classrooms!

Radio Awareness for Kids (Incursion)

On Monday (17th) and Tuesday (18th) of June, we are very excited to give each of our Grade 3/4 students an insight into the world of radio broadcasting through an in-class workshop. The cost for this incursion is $6, and will provide students with the opportunity to prepare and record a presentation of their own. If you are happy for your child/ren to be involved, please provide payment and permission via Compass by Sunday, 16th June.

Learning in Weeks 9 & 10

Mathematics: Students have enjoyed working hard to improve their understanding of fractions over the past couple of weeks. We will spend the rest of the term exploring the topic of 'Patterns and Algebra' across our Maths lessons.

Writing & Reading: This fortnight, we will be learning how to add more description into our writing through the use of adjectives, adverbs and 'Show Not Tell'. In Reading, we will be focusing on how to find the main idea of a text and how to summarise key events in sequence (order of occurrence or chronological order).

Topic: Students are continuing to work hard on their campaign posters for their endangered animal. Keep an eye out for a selection of these fantastic posters in our Week 10 newsletter!
