Upcoming Learning
Literacy
In the following weeks, we will continue learning to read words with 4 sounds. Over the next two weeks we will be reading 'The Gingerbread Man' and 'The Ugly Duckling'. We will be learning the Heart Words 'do' and 'see'.
Mathematics
Next week, we will be learning to answer yes or no questions and use tally marks to record this information. This includes language such as - data, tally, yes, no. An opportunity to support this learning at home is to pose a yes or no question to your family and practice tally marks. For the final two weeks of Term 3, we will be learning about addition and 3D shape.
Topic
Next week in Topic, we are continuing to explore the different properties of materials and investigate how they can change state. To do this, we are going to be cooking gingerbread people! (We hope they don't run out of the oven!) In weeks 10 and 11, we will be exploring rolling objects.
Our Problem Solving topic in Respectful Relationships has now concluded. We will spend the remaining weeks engaging in circle time with a SWPBS focus.
