A note from Mr Jackson

Working Bee 18 May

Here’s an invite to join in and lend a hand to improve our learning spaces. Bring along some sturdy shoes and gloves to help with the day. We’ll be gathering at 9:00am in the staffroom and will continue on to 12 noon where a BBQ will be our reward. We recognise there are many who are unable to join us and appreciate that they have chosen to make a contribution to the tax deductible building fund instead!

Rosanna Primary School Education Week

A quick reminder to pencil in some of the following dates for the RPS Education Week:

Tuesday 21 May

Career Dress Up Day - Celebrate the many different careers that involve mathematics, engineering and/or science.

Wednesday 22 May

National Simultaneous Storytime   - This year we are inviting some of our 2025 Prep students who are considering enrolling to join with us! Contact the office to find out more!

Thursday 23 May

Open Classrooms – Come and join in the learning in these interactive classrooms. Roll a dice, share in an experiment and you may even learn a thing or two. All are welcome.

Road Safety Awareness

A near miss was reported to the school on the lower crossing where the traffic supervisor operates. I encourage parents to continue to have conversations about appropriate ways to stay safe. Parents in the community have also spoken with me about parents completing u turns in our narrow streets during times of congestion. I encourage all to slow down and consider the safety of students at the end of the day when children and adults may not be as alert as in the morning period.

Walking to School Morning Postponed

Unfortunately, the big Walk to School was postponed due to inclement weather this morning. While the weather might slow us down, we are always eager to get out and be active and look forward to marking the experience next week.

Mothers and Special Other’s Events

A special thanks to FORPS for holding the gifts stall today. There were many students eager to buy a special gift for the loved ones at home. It was great to start this week with a morning stretch at Yoga. Children and parents came together to enjoy this specific fun event. A great way to connect home and school. We wish all those celebrating and remembering the significant people in their lives well this weekend.
