Newlands in Nutshell

Here is a snapshot of the important things in this newsletter that you don't want to miss! be sure to read on for a more comprehensive rundown of all things happening at Newlands.

• Colour Run Friday 31st May, 12pm - 2pm, please come along! For a comprehensive overview of the event, please read the Colour Explosion School Fun Run.
• Next week's Assembly will be at 2.45pm instead of 3.10pm.
• Accessing the school:  
  • The two entrances on Murphy Street – the original entrance to the school and the gate between the two Learning Worlds will be locked at 9.30am and opened at 3pm.
  • The gate that leads to our front office will also be open and will be the only entrance available between 9:30am – 3:00pm. 
  • The large double gate entrance will always be locked and a reminder to families to not use the staff car park between 8:00am and 4:30pm.
• Reminder to all families to please submit any enrolment forms for Foundation 2025 to the front office:  https://newlandsps.vic.edu.au/starting-at-nps/#enrolmentform.
• Spanish Movie Night

• Reconciliation Week
  • Wednesday 29th May
    • 8:15 - 8:45 Creating a mural out of chalk representing Aboriginal symbols in the quadrangle. Everyone is welcome to join us.
    • 11:00 - 11:30 Aboriginal cultural games in the quadrangle.
    • 2:30 - 3:30 Welcome to Country ceremony with Trevor Gallagher
