In the Kitchen with Chris 

Our Pizza theme continues this term with P1 making Margherita Pizzas and Caramelised Pumpkin Pizzas, including 2 gluten free and fat free options.

Marcus’ group made the Tomato Sugo for the Margherita pizzas, they cut the onions very finely showing, great knife skills and used the tomato Passata they made last term to make the delicious sauce. They grated Parmesan cheese and weighed out the Mozzarella cheese.

 

Nicholas and his team cut the pumpkin into 1cm pieces. They did a great job making sure they held their knife carefully. Students took turns stirring the pumpkin with the herbs as it cooked. Poppy and her group washed and dried the Silverbeet and rolled it and shredded it into small pieces. Then stirred it into the Caramelised Pumpkin sauce.

 

After preparing all the pizza toppings, student took turns kneading and rolling out the pizza bases. We made 6 pizza bases. 

 

Jack was impressed with how well the base of his pizza was cooked. 

 

Albi and his team made their pizza in the shape of a mushroom. He said it was yum! 

 

Ella said the gluten free Caramelised Pumpkin Pizza with no fat was delicious. 

 

Kendre was proud of the Caramelised Pumpkin pizza he made.
