Alice in Wonderland

Ms Molly Krausgrill

This term’s school production of Alice in Wonderland, put on by the Performing Arts Team, Molly Krausgrill, Allira Wilson and Mandy Goldsworthy, brought together a large team of students both on stage and behind the scenes to deliver a polished and memorable performance.

While audiences enjoyed the cast’s lively portrayal of Wonderland’s curious characters, much of the success of the show came from the work happening behind the scenes. Students took the lead in every area of production — from lighting, sound and microphone operation to set changes, props, stage management and backstage coordination.

Hair and makeup were also entirely student-run. The team applied detailed, character-specific looks across a large cast, showing creativity, patience, and professionalism with every performance.

A special thank you goes to our Year 12 students many of whom took on leadership roles throughout the production. Whether performing on stage or managing key backstage responsibilities, they set a strong example for younger students and helped shape a supportive, collaborative environment. For those, this was their final school production, and they should be proud of the legacy they leave behind.

This production was a clear reminder of the incredible talent within our student community. From acting and design to technical skills and creative leadership, our students brought a high level of skill and commitment to every aspect of the show. Supporting opportunities like this is essential — not only to celebrate student achievement but to help young people grow in confidence, collaboration, and creative thinking.

Thank you to the staff, families, and volunteers who supported the production, and congratulations to everyone involved. It was a strong reflection of what can be achieved when students are trusted to lead, create, and work together.
