Semester 1 Reports

Semester 1 Reports will be sent home next Friday 4th July, 2025 via the nForma app. Please follow these instructions for how to access your child's report.

The purpose of the report is to formally report student achievement and progress to parents/carers, and to report directly against the Victorian Curriculum F-10 Achievement Standards.

Achievement in the Victorian Curriculum domains is marked using an A-E scale as required by the Commonwealth Government.

A student who has achieved the ‘C’ rating indicates that he or she has met the state wide standards.

When assessing Target Skills, the following scale of achievement is used:

The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) has recently released updated versions (2.0) of the Mathematics and English curriculums. Christ Our Holy Redeemer Primary School has implemented and is currently reporting against both Mathematics Version 2.0 and English Version 2.0.

You may notice that there have been some changes to the way Mathematics Version 2.0 is reported. These changes are mandated by the Victorian Catholic Education Authority. In your child’s previous report, the teacher reported against the 3 strands of achievement for Mathematics (Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry, Statistics and Probability). Under the Mathematics Curriculum V2.0, your child’s teacher will report against the achievement standard as a whole, providing a single, aggregated score. As the achievement standards reported on have changed, the first time you receive a report under the new curriculum, it will only show achievement and not progress. For all reports after this, progress will be shown against the single achievement standard. Please note that the curriculum area of Probability will only be reported on for Years 3 to 6. The reporting structure for English remains unchanged.

The report also includes written overviews of what has been taught in the various Curriculum Areas, including Specialist Areas, as well as a general comment on your child’s social and emotional skills.

Parent/Teacher Chats will be held in Week 1 of Term 3 - Tuesday 22nd July & Thursday 24th July 2025.  These interviews are a formal opportunity to discuss your child’s progress.

However, at any time, should you want to discuss your child’s progress, please feel free to make a mutually convenient time to speak to your child’s classroom teacher.
