Year 7 'How to Bee'

This term in English, Year 7 students have been reading Bren MacDibble’s novel, “How to Bee.” Students kept a journal of their reading. They also wrote their own texts based on the characters and themes explored in “How to Bee.”

“How to Bee” has a strong focus on sustainability. This is a priority area in the national curriculum. It's also an issue that we care about here at St Philip's. To further the Year 7s understanding of their “How to Bee” learning, Mr James Tudor escorted students on a tour of the college bee hives. He also answered questions about bees and beekeeping. We thank Mr Tudor for his time and knowledge!
