Every Minute Counts – Even in Winter!
As the mornings get colder, it can be tempting to sleep in or take a day off—but every day and every minute at school matters.
Why Attendance Matters
At our school, we know that regular attendance leads to better learning, stronger friendships, and long-term success. Even missing just one day a fortnight adds up to four full weeks of learning lost over a year.
Being here every day gives your child the best chance to:
- Keep up with classwork
- Feel connected to friends
- Build strong routines for life
Being Late Adds Up
Currently, 8% of our students arrive late every day. While 10 minutes may not seem like much, being late regularly means:
- Missing out on the start of learning
- Disrupting the class
- Starting the day rushed or unsettled
Over a year, 10 minutes late each day = more than a week of lost learning.
What You Can Do
- Set a regular bedtime and morning routine
- Pack school bags and lunches the night before
- Have uniforms ready the night before
- Leave 5–10 minutes earlier than usual
- Aim to arrive at 8:35am – ready and calm to learn
We’re here to help—please contact us if you need support with morning routines or attendance concerns.
Let’s work together to make every school day—and every minute—count!
