Principal's Report

Dear Families,
REPORTS
Staff are currently focused on reflecting on student progress and preparing semester reports. These will be available via XUNO on Wednesday.
There are some changes to the way Numeracy is being reported on this year. Previously, students have recieved a progression point in three areas of Numeracy; Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry and Statistics and Probability.
Below is a photo of what this has previously looked like.
This year, we have begun using Victorian Curriculum 2.0 in Numeracy. From this semester, students will only recieve one progression point for Numeracy as a whole area. This is an aggregrate score from the strands that have been taught for each year level. Teachers have been collecting data to form their teacher judgement when reporting on this. To make this judgement, teachers use a range of assessments as well classwork students have produced. Because this is a new curriculum, no growth will be shown on the report.
Below is a photo of what this will look like on this semesters reports.

Parent Teacher Interviews will be held over Week 2 (July 28 - August 1) and Week 3 (August 4 - 8) next term. Bookings can be made on XUNO in the first week of next term.
ANH DO BOOKBASH
On Tuesday, our year 3-6 students were lucky enough to attend an online session with popular author, Anh Do. Some of his book series such as Wolf Girl, Hot Dog and Weir Do are favourites within our school library. We learnt about how he comes up his ideas for his stories and characters before having a go at coming up with some of our own characters.
