Year 9 Careers Event

On Tuesday the 18th of June, our year 9 students attended the Korumburra Indoor Recreation Centre to participate in a Careers event ran by the LLEN. The students participated in a fast-paced, interactive session ran by Darren and Timmy from Success Integrated. In this session, students were prompted to think about their character strengths, their interests and their passion, to ultimately encourage them to make career decisions with these in mind.

Students were then able to explore the Careers Expo with a wide range of businesses and education providers ready to speak with students and answer any questions relating to their field.

We would like to thank the LLEN for the organisation of this event, Success Integrated for their engaging session, and all the businesses and education providers who participated in the expo. The students felt as though this event was extremely beneficial to start thinking about different career options and inform their subject selections for year 10 and beyond.
