Netball

Maffra SC had a successful day at the Wellington Netball Championships. The senior girls went through their pool undefeated unfortnately went down to Lavalla in the grandfinal. Maddy Dalton and Tully Noble were strong in defence, midcourt worked well with Emily Johnston in the centre supported by Maicey Anlezark, Emily Cruickshank, Briley Dole and Rhani Westland. In goals we had Skyla Skeen, Rory Laskowski and Kasey Svenson.

The intermediate girls A side lost one match in a close game against Lavalla, who went on to win the intermediate A final. Milla Oldham and Charlotte Nikolajew were strong goalers who held their position well, support  in midcourt by Lara Dowsett, Summer Harbour and Siennah Harrigan, defence worked well together with Olivia Palmer and Emily Svenson. Intermediate girls B competed well and enjoyed their time on the court. Maddi Winter played well at both ends of the court, she held up goals with Eboni Whitehead, in midcourt Monique Leighton and Jess Rush,  defence, Lily Cox, Piper O’Keefe and Natalie O’Neil.  All girls showed great teamwork and proudly represented the school, good work girls!
