Showcase Concert "It's about Time"

On Thursday June 20th, students from the performing arts came together for showcase concert "It's About Time" as a celebration of their work over the last semester.

The students lead us on a musical and dance journey through time, beginning with the Vocal Ensemble performing an Indigenous song "Yimenda Papaguneray". We then transitioned through the baroque era, with Tvaritha Karthik performing a Bach flute solo, and the barbary pirate wars of the 1500's with the Excel Band. The jazz ensemble brought us into the 20th century, then we went to the hippie 60's with the Concert Band. The end of the show included Hannah Paix and Sophie Fitzgerald performing a beautiful version of "Can't Catch me Now" from the Hunger Games and finally, the combined bands performing "Time Warp". Congratulations to everyone involved.

7A, 7B, 7C and 7G - Semester 2 Instrumental Music enrolments

Congratulations to the students in these classes for completing the first semester oif learning an instrument. These students are encouraged to continue their musical journey by enrolling into the main Instrumental music program, now that the classroom component is complete. Please ask your parents to go into your "courses" section of Compass to enrol, or email Ms van Oosten for more information
