Term 2 Week 11

What a busy term in STEAM!

Check out these photos of some of the work we did. Sewing monsters with crazy faces was a hit with the Grade 6 students who got better at sewing as the term progressed. Golf course mazes for robotic sphero golf and pulleys for light house keeper's lunches. Stop motion creation for displaying school values and creating new creatures by combing two creatures with different features using AI, which are in a book in the prep's classroomss, there were some wonderfully weird creatures created.

I am looking forward to a great second half of the year!!!

if you are cleaning out cupboards and come across an old latch hook from your crafting days I would love a loan of it for the next term. have a great holiday!

MUSIC ROOM UPDATE

The Junior School's time in the Music room has come to an end... until 2025 (seems so far away!!).

We have a had the best time exploring different music, singing, dancing and playing percussion instruments. All the children have embraced the fun and creative nature of Music whilst stepping out of their comfort zones and expressing themselves.

Looking forward to exploring and trying new things with the Senior students of Skye PS.

Semester Two will see us holding our school concert at the Frankston Arts Centre - VERY EXCITING!!

We will be running a matinee show and an evening show on Tuesday 10th September. Rehearsals will be in full swing from week one to get ready for the show.

If you're handy on a sewing machine or a hot glue gun I'm sure we could use your help!!

Also, if there are any connections in our school community for videographers to film the concert could you please email me: shelley.murphy@education.vic.gov.au

Looking forward to a FUN second half of the year enjoy your break!
