Term Two 2024 - 6A, 6B & 5/6C

Hello All Year 6 Families and welcome to the last Connect for Term 2!

Firstly, thank you for your attendance at Parent Teacher Interviews on Monday.  It was so nice to catch up and discuss the progress that your amazing children have been making.

It was great to see all the enthusiastic young sportspeople at the Lightning Premiership on Friday of last week with all of the Skye Primary teams playing the games in the spirit that they should be played.  A particular congratulations must go to the 6B Girls Netball team who managed to win their Premiership!

We hope that you are able to navigate the two week holidays with your children and please click on the links for ideas on what to do.

In writing, students will focus on crafting informative reports, learning to structure and organize their thoughts, and then plan, draft, and publish their own reports.

In numeracy, students will consolidate their understanding of addition and subtraction of decimals. They will be explicitly taught how to represent reminders as fractions and decimals when completing division problems. Students will investigate a range of strategies to assist them in solving multiplication problems. They will continue to be involved in problem solving activities where they will be required to demonstrate persistence and resilience to achieve success.
