REMINDER: Myuna Farm

We will be heading to Myuna Farm on Tuesday 6th August (Week 4). Information has been sent out via the QKR app for permission and payment. Students will be exploring Living Things on the Farm- waste, produce gardening, paddock feeding and train ride to the wetlands. We recommend gumboots (and a raincoat/warm coat/beanie if the weather decides to be difficult) for this day to ensure school shoes aren't ruined!

Potato Olympics

Over the past two weeks we have been exploring the Olympics! Students have been particularly fascinated by the fact they were 4 years old when the last Olympic games were held in Tokyo! They have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the variety of countries as well as the many sports and events that are on offer.

To celebrate the upcoming Olympic Games, we held a Skye PS Potato Olympics! See photos below for some of the fun!

Grade Five Visit

The Grade 5 students visited us this week to share their information reports. We were particularly impressed with their knowledge, PowerPoint presentations and ability to engage the Grade 2 students. See photos below...

NAIDOC WEEK

We learnt about NAIDOC week and what the significance of this event is. Students explored indigenous athletes who have competed in the Olympics before, as well as creating art pieces around the Dreamtime Story, The Rainbow Serpent!
