TRIBES - Monday 24th of June
On Monday the 24th of June we had our TRIBES session for Term 2. During this session we celebrated World Environment Day which is all about protecting our environment. We watched a picture book called 'Walk of the Whales' by Nick Bland. The book is about the whales leaving the ocean because it has too much rubbish in it, so they decide to live on land. We then recycled the bottle lids we have collected over the term to design and create a fish. Each TRIBE made their own fish which will come together to create our POPS 'School of Fish'. Well done to the Year 6 leaders on running the session, they did a wonderful job! Here are some highlights from TRIBES from our Year 6 leaders:
"It was exciting see the end product and how our colourful fish turned out" - Bodhi VP
"A highlight was creating the fish design" - Sam R
"It was fun seeing everyone jumping in to help sort the bottle caps into colours" - Charlotte T
"A highlight from TRIBES was everyone working together to create our fish with bottle caps" - Felicity W
"It was very fun with everyone contributing to the design of the fish" - Emme J
