Oral Health

For a smile that could light up this whole town

When you think of teeth you probably think about a nice, big smile with white shiny teeth. And as great as that is, did you know that your oral health is an important part of your general health and wellbeing?

There are a few really important things you can do to keep your mouth and teeth in top condition:

  • Brush your teeth twice a day (and floss for extra points!)
  • Limit sugary foods and drinks (remember what Mrs Storrar says, "An apple a day keeps the dentist away")
  • Protect you face and mouth when playing or training for sport

But if we don't look after our teeth we can increase our risk of heart disease, diabetes, respiratory illness, cancer and stroke.

Looking after our teeth helps us with our amazing smiles. Choose fresh fruits, vegetable sticks, natural yoghurt, plain popcorn, soups or cheese for snacks. Drink plenty of water or plain milk.
