Community Care and Connection

Library Collaboration

One of the greatest aspects of our Connected Schools community is our ability to share resources, practices, knowledge, and experiences across our schools.

In May, our Library Managers had the wonderful opportunity to share their story of collaboration with a national audience at the 2024 Australian Library and Information Association National Conference held at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

Our very own Wendy Janetzki, along with Wendy McLeod (St Paul), Ruth Carter (Golden Grove Lutheran), and Catherine Barnes (Endeavour College) formed a panel to highlight the incredible benefits of collaboration for our libraries and students with a presentation of 'Forging Future Libraries.'

Since the presentation, many schools have reached out, eager to develop similar communities of practice with their own local schools.

Our Connected Schools community is helping others connect and collaborate to foster greater opportunities and this is something we are very proud of.

Well done Wendy for your contribution!

KAPS

Our next gathering is Sunday 23rd June with a ‘Creativity’ theme!  (One of our school values!) Pop it in your diaries now!

Coffee and Connect

How is your family going? How was your long weekend?  If you have a few minutes (or a lot of minutes) and you feel like meeting some people or reuniting with friends, you are most welcome to pop into the Church Café tomorrow morning and share some tea/ coffee and conversation. Here are the details:

Where: The church café (entry through the courtyard)

When: Friday from 8:30am to 10am Toddlers are welcome! (We have a small playground. You just need to keep an eye on your little ones(s) for safety reasons.)

Look forward to seeing you in the morning!

Craft Group

Here is an opportunity to let your creativity shine! Do you enjoy painting, crocheting, diamond art or perhaps something else? You are invited to join a group of like-minded people in the church café, Fridays from 9:30am to 11am. (Slight overlap with Coffee and Connect.) BYO craft/ activity. Make a morning of it... Start with Coffee and Connect and continue on with Craft and Connect! 😊

JC Life Kids Camp

Do you like camping and sharing time with other people who like to have fun? Here’s an idea for the school holidays! Junior Christian Life (JC Life) is a four-day, three-night, camp for young people in years 4-6 to meet others and grow in their relationship with God.

Significant sponsorship is offered to first time campers by the LLL. If this is not your first camp, talk to Georgie as there is a smaller sponsorship available.

The camp will be at Camp Kedron, Barmera. Pick up a postcard from the front office!

For more information either chat with or contact Georgie here, or check out the camp section on the blueprint ministries website at: www.blueprintministries.org.au/camps/jc-life
