Junior School

PSA Sport

Year 5/6 PSA Winter Sports resumed this Thursday with our boys competing in an away fixture against Aquinas. Despite the threatening weather and clouds, the fixture proceeded as scheduled, and our boys had a fantastic time showcasing their skills and sportsmanship across various sports. Thank you to all the players for their commitment and enthusiasm, and to our supportive parents for cheering them on from afar.

Ian Macrae Cup

Congratulations to our Junior School 'A' Football team for their outstanding performance in yesterday's Ian MacRae Cup competition against Aquinas College. Named in honour of the former Head of Junior School at both Aquinas and Trinity, the match showcased true 'TC Spirit'. Captain Harley Blatchley and Vice-Captain Levi Agapitos (Year 6) led the team with determination from start to finish. The boys displayed exceptional teamwork and resilience throughout an exciting game, rising to the challenge and giving their best effort at every opportunity.

Trinity emerged victorious with a commanding score of 76 to 29, reclaiming the Ian MacRae Cup for this year. A special thanks goes to coach Mr Alex Paljetak, who despite being on leave, returned to guide the boys to this remarkable achievement.

Library News

The deadline for entries into the Br Gerry Faulkner Award for Young Writers and Illustrators has been extended by one week. Entries will now close on Friday, 26th July.

Entries can be collected from either the Junior or Senior School library. Students are invited to submit entries in various categories including fictional short stories, novel chapters, picture books, graphic novels, poetry, or verse. Entries can be submitted individually or as a small group project. It is important that all entries are the original work of the students, with no ideas copied from TV, movies, or books. Entries should be a maximum of 2000 words, neatly handwritten or typed.

We encourage all interested students to participate and showcase their creativity in this exciting competition.

Extra-Curricular

Today, you should have received the Term 3 Extra-Curricular timetable. We are excited to offer a variety of clubs for boys to join this term. We kindly ask that you go through the timetable together with your son to determine if there are any clubs that require an application for participation.

For Podcasting and Boardgame Club, application links can be found directly on the timetable. If your son is interested in Camp Craft, applications can be collected from Mr. Quin or from the Junior School office. Thank you for your support in encouraging your son's participation in our enriching extra-curricular activities.
