Wellbeing
Parents of Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students. Deakin University is conducting a study on children’s use of Digital Technology.
Their research aims to capture a snapshot of a week in the life of a child, focusing on their use of digital technology. This research looks to create a better understanding of how digital technologies are commonly used by children within their daily routines, while exploring what types of use show the most beneficial well-being outcomes for children (e.g., mood, behavioural strengths and difficulties, social and family functioning).
The results of this research will help to inform policy and recommendations by highlighting the most beneficial ways that parents, caregivers, and teachers can integrate digital technology into children’s daily experiences to gain the best well-being outcomes for the growing generation and beyond. This research has been approved by the Deakin University Ethics and Advisory Board – HEAG-H 03_2024.
Please see the attached letter with a link to the survey, should you wish to participate.
