Principal's Message
From the Desk of Kathy Nott - Term 2, Week 9
Good morning Parents/Carers,
Year 6 Taster Day
Our Year 6 Students attended a Taster Day at Quirindi High School last Tuesday to experience what High School is all about. Thank you to Mr Wilcox and Miss Kennedy for attending with our Year 6 students.
School Assembly
It was great to see so many parents/carers at our School Assembly last Friday. Congratulations to those students who received awards and are doing great things within our school. Thank you to 2/3/4O for your very informative presentation on earthquakes.
School Values and Expectations: Respectful, Safe, Ready
Congratulations to the students who have successfully completed their ‘W’! A mighty achievement for you all. Anyone else who completes their ‘W’ this term will be able to access the Grab box on the last day of term. Keep up the great work.
Some students are back chatting staff and using inappropriate language. Students were warned on Monday that if this continues opportunities to represent the school at sporting, cultural or other activities will be withdrawn. All staff and students have a right to be respected by all members of the school community. Swearing, rudeness, non-compliance and intimidation will not be tolerated from any student.
School Athletics Carnival
Our School Athletics Carnival is on this Friday 28th June at David Taylor Oval. If you have not already done so, please ensure that the permission note is signed and returned to your child's teacher by tomorrow. Students will be required to meet at the oval on the day. Students who catch the bus will be dropped off at the oval and collected from the oval, not from school. We look forward to seeing many Parents/Carers there to cheer our students on. Our P&C will be holding a canteen on the day for your child and the school community to purchase lunch and treats.
NAIDOC Week Celebrations
NAIDOC Week will be celebrated next week.
We look forward to celebrating with our students and the community. Take a look in the Important Information and Events page on this newsletter for all of the details for next week. This year's theme is "Keep the fire burning! Blak, Loud & Proud".
Kind regards
Kathy Nott
