World Environment Day

On Wednesday 5 June  students at St Joseph’s celebrated World Environment Day 2024.

This is an important day for people around the world to come together to think about how they can help protect and look after different environments, the plants and animals that live in them, and how to continue to keep the world healthy and a great place to live.

This year’s theme is GENERATION RESTORATION - Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resistance.

Students at St Joseph’s marked this day in various ways including songs, discussions and activities.

Year 5 spent time collecting rubbish within different areas of the school which will then be used in their mathematics lessons as they learn about Data. They are hoping to use the data they gather to improve the cleanliness of our playgrounds.
