Food Technology News

Year 8

Year 8 students have been focussing on baking over the last 3 weeks.  This allows students to refine their measuring skills to ensure the food they produce has the desired sensory properties.  It is also a whole lot of fun!

In line with the College’s Values of Curiosity, Compassion and Community, students have been gifting some of their sweet treats to staff at the College.  They carefully selected their goods, wrote thank you notes and packaged them up.  It was then time to hand deliver these to their teachers.   The results were positive connections, feelings of giving back and a lot of smiling faces!

This was a great opportunity for students to sit in a place a gratitude and showing kindness to others who have helped them along their learning journey in Semester 1.
