Student Wellbeing
School holidays can be an exciting time for both parents and children, providing an opportunity to relax, have fun, and create lasting memories together. However, the break from routine can also be stressful for families. Remember too boredom can be good it helps children to promote creativity and problem solving.
Maintain a Balanced Routine
While it’s important to embrace the freedom of the holidays, maintaining a balanced routine can help prevent unnecessary stress. Encourage your children to maintain regular sleep patterns, eat nutritious meals, and engage in physical activity each day. Regular routines can provide stability, promote healthy habits, and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal discomfort.
Encourage Active Breaks
School holidays should mean increased playtime and outdoor activities for children – even in winter. Encourage your kids to engage in a variety of activities that promote movement, strength, and flexibility.
