NAIDOC Week, 2024

NAIDOC stands for National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee. It is a time to celebrate the histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It’s held each year during the first week of July and is an important annual event where everyone’s invited to join in the celebrations.

This year we are very lucky to have Aunty Zeta join us for a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, followed by a dance performance by One Fire, an Indigenous dance troupe.

Our NAIDOC celebration will take place on Friday 19th July, 2024. Time and location will be shared during Week 1 of Term 3. We invite all members of our school commuinity to join us for this celebration of Indigenous culture and history.
