Endeavour Youth Australia Program

Last week we had a visit from Mohamed Semra, the founder of Endeavour Youth Australia. Mohamed delivered a presentation to the Grade 4 and 5 students engaging them in important discussions about diversity and inclusion. The students loved this opportunity to listen to Mohamed’s personal story of discrimination and exclusion and as a result, becoming a leader for change, as well as contributing their thoughts and ideas on this topic.

This term we have a select group of students who will be participating in The Endeavour Youth Australia’s Leaders for Change program which aims to develop the leadership capacity of students in multicultural environments. Using concepts of leadership as a framework, the program addresses racism and discrimination. It supports students in expanding their communication skills, fostering respectful relationships, and building confidence and capacities in personal development and self-leadership.

We are very excited about the positive impact this program will have on our students and our school community.

JSC Bastille Day Celebrations

From day one, our remarkable Junior School Council (JSC) Captains,  Zoe, Hannah, Jemima, Frida, Sailor and Margot have been actively engaged in our week-long celebration of French culture and language. They led a delightful 'Bastille Day and French Language Celebration' session in the library during lunchtime, showcasing their enthusiasm, teamwork, and kindness. Students enthusiastically participated in listening to French stories, solving language puzzles, creating their own French sentences, and colouring Le Drapeau Tricolore (The French flag).
