See more Agriculture at Seymour College
It’s all go in the Agriculture program at the moment. As a result of the Victorian Government Secondary Schools Agriculture Fund grant, we have been very busy at Seymour College in the Agriculture Program. The new shed is being built on the Agriculture Campus and the old front fence has been removed in preparation for the new post and rail fence.
The school now has four Simmental Cattle – 2 x Commercial and 2 x Stud animals (Una and Billie). We are working hard to get Una and Billie to the Royal Melbourne Show this year. Ms McClaren’s sons have started the preparation work with the cattle and the cows will be moved down to the Agriculture Campus once the fencing, yards and water points have been completed.
The Stewart Street Campus now has chickens! They are six gorgeous ladies who sing and chortle during the day and have been laying and creating a wonderful atmosphere in our veggie garden area.
