Burwood Brickworks Rooftop Garden

The Year 8 Rise class went to Burwood Brickworks Rooftop Garden to see the largest sustainable rooftop garden in Australia. The CEO Rob Rees gave a talk on what they were producing and why. It was a very informative session with students asking lots of questions. It was interesting to hear that wicking-beds were 4 times more productive than garden beds. The Farm was an impressive addition to the shopping centre and definitely worth the visit.
