Instruments with 3/4 

This term the grade 3/4 students are learning to play an instrument of choice. They have chosen from ukulele, guitar and keyboard. So far everyone has learned to play the chords C and A and we can all play Katy Perry's Roar together. This week we learned to play F, and we've added American Author's Best Day of My Life to our repertoire. It's a little trickier, but judging by our excellent start to the term, I'm confident everyone will be playing it smoothly within a few weeks. 

The photos below show the keyboard players practising identifying the B C D E notes in relation to the black keys, while the guitar and ukulele groups learned the string note names so that they’ll be able to tune the instruments themselves. 

Here are the songs we're working on, if you have the instrument at home your child is learning, you might like to have your child show you what they can do. The videos show the ukulele chords but already the guitarists and keyboard players can remember their finger placement and play along!
