Hello from our students and teachers
Respect, Responsibility and Kindness
At the start of this term, we have been busy focusing on non-fiction texts. So far, we have worked on researching notes on different animals, countries and topics of our personal interest. After takes notes, we categorised the information into subheadings, we then created presentations either on PowerPoint or a Word Document to present our information. Some students have even made a brochure too!
Here is some of our animal and country information reports for you to enjoy:
During Mathematics this week we have learnt what prime, composite, triangular, square and cube numbers are. Here is what we learnt and investigated:
Prime and composite numbers
Triangular numbers
Square and cube numbers
It helps to know different types of numbers to solve different equations fluently. A fun game we will be playing next week will be 'finding factors and multiples'.
Why don't you have a go at home? :)
Or while watching the Olympics or your favourite sport on the weekend (like the mighty Saints)... find different numbers like the players guernsey and work out: 'Is the number prime or composite? Is it triangular?'
Miss Wadley's favourite player Jack Steele is number 9, which is composite as it has more than 2 factors (1, 9 & 3).
Who is yours?
Have a great weekend!
