Meet your school councillors.

Respect, Responsibility and Kindness

This week you can meet two more of our school councillors-

Brooke Bennett

Why did you join school council?

As my last child joined the school community, I suddenly found myself free from preschool obligations such as playgroups, kinder etc and so had some spare volunteer time. It seemed a good way to support the school, one I knew I was proud of having 3 children at the school at the time.

Do you have any particular interests/hobbies?

I love getting into a good book, or pottering in the garden.

How many children do you have at our school?

My two older children have completed their primary education at Violet street, my youngest is currently in grade 5.

Robyn Matthews

Why did you join school council?

I joined the council last year (this is my second year) because I wanted to understand more about how the school ran, and how, as a parent, I could better support the teachers and school community.

How long have you been a member of our school community/on school council?

This is my second year.

Do you have any particular interests/hobbies?

When I have time (which isn’t as often as I’d like), I love to potter in the garden, do some baking or a craft activity like crochet or sewing. I also love teaching yoga to children and the elderly.

How many children do you have at our school?

I can’t believe that this is my 7th year of being a Violet St parent! The years have flown by!I have 2 children, Gypsy in grade 6, and Atlas in grade 1.
