Opening Mass

In Week 2, our College community gathered to celebrate our Opening Mass - a meaningful and heartfelt occasion that brought together students, staff, parents, friends, and many special guests. We were honoured to welcome Bishop Joe Caddy, who led the celebration alongside Fr Rob, Fr Sabu, Deacon Ralph and Deacon Peter.

Following Mass, Bishop Joe visited the Innovation Centre, offering a blessing with a sprinkling of holy water. This moment marked a special beginning for the year as we continue to foster spaces of learning, creativity, and collaboration.

The College Captains, including the Mission, Cultural, Academic, and Pastoral House captains were then inducted, taking their pledge of leadership before the College community. They were also presented with their badges, which had been blessed by Fr Rob. It was heartwarming to witness the student leaders receiving their badges from their parents. Badges were also presented to the Student Agency Team members and all Year 12 students. 

New staff and new students were also officially welcomed to the College. All new students received a College Crest badge during Home Form, with the badge being a symbol of them becoming a part of the St Stephen's Catholic College family. The ceremony concluded with everyone joining together to sing the College song, 'Trust in the Lord'.

It was a joyous and uplifting start to the school year, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to all family members, friends, and special guests who joined us in celebration.
