Technology Agreement

Technology – Acceptable Use Agreement
Recently, students reviewed and signed our Acceptable Use of Technology Agreement. This is an important part of ensuring that all students understand their responsibilities when using digital devices at school.
During this process, we discussed what it means to use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly. Students were reminded that school laptops are learning tools and must be handled with care. We spoke about practical ways to look after their devices, including carrying them carefully, keeping food and water away, charging them appropriately and storing them safely when not in use.
We also explored online and offline safety. Students were taught the importance of:
- Protecting personal information
- Using appropriate language and behaviour when communicating online
- Accessing only approved websites and programs
- Reporting anything that makes them feel uncomfortable or unsure
Students demonstrated a clear understanding that using technology is a privilege and that their choices online should reflect our school values and baseline behaviours.
We appreciate your support in reinforcing these expectations at home by continuing conversations about safe and responsible technology use. Working together helps ensure our students develop positive digital habits that will support them both now and into the future.
