From the School Captains

At St. Leonard's, leadership is a time for all students to stand up and be a positive role model for our school. We all have roles and responsibilities and it is important that we use these to ensure a safe, responsible and respectful school community. It is important for us to look out for one another and being an upstander whatever the situation.
Leadership is important to us because we believe that being a good leader inspires others and helps students to do good. We all have to support the school community in making positive choices. Having leaders allows our students to connect with other students and make year long friendships.
All Year 6 students attended a commissioning mass to celebrate their position in our school. We all received our badges during mass and celebrated this moment with our Parish community and families. We all have responsibilities in our classrooms, playground and community. This means we all have to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
This week we all were presented with our Year 6 bomber jackets, this in an important milestone in our school because it shows how far we have come in our school journey. This jacket represents our maturity and highlights the positive impact we can make within our school. We all have to have pride while wearing our jackets in school grounds or in the community.
This is our year, our goal is to make a positive impact on our school community. We want to be remembers as being great students, working well together and being creative and pushing the boundaries with new ideas.
We are looking forward to being your School Captain this year.
Anthony, Ranaya, Dallas and Natalie
