Life in the LRC

Congratulations!
The LRC is proud to introduce to our whole school community the new Library Captains for 2026.
This newly created leadership role will see our captains lead, promote and advocate the many events and activities within our vibrant and inclusive library space.
After a lot of interest from many of our year levels, we decided to open this wonderful opportunity to all years. As a result, these four students were selected, who we believe have the capability and enthusiasm to help our space grow.
We congratulate Lucien, Mariana, Ethan and Ashley on their new leadership roles and look forward to working closely with them.
New opportunity!
For those new to the college in 2026, we would like to let you know about our Library Assistants program.
This program gives our students the opportunity to learn new skills and use existing ones, build up a set of responsibilities that will help when applying for jobs, and to feel included within our school community. Additionally, it allows the students to develop strong agency and voice as they have a say in future library developments.
It proved a great success in 2025, with 15 participants. Many students have expressed an interest in participating again this year and are already looking forward to our annual State Library visit later in the year.
If this sounds like you, please come and see us about joining our team.
Updated Library Desk
The library staff are always looking at ways to make our space a welcoming and vibrant place.
Using words that best describe our library and school values, Mrs Ford has created some colourful decals to brighten up our circulation desk.
