Revamp Sensory Garden | Callout for Recycled Materials
The Parents & Friends (P&F) Association is currently assisting the school in revamping the Sensory Garden (next to the Manuka Building). Our aim is to recreate this space to provide our children with a safe, calming environment where they can enjoy nature during their free time.
With the support of some parents, we have successfully obtained a small grant from the
Woolworths Landcare Grant Programme to fund part of this project. However, to enhance
the design further, we need a variety of materials. Our goal is to use as many recycled
materials as possible to reduce the amount of waste going into landfill. Therefore, we are
seeking donations of the following items from our community:
- Wooden stumps of different heights
- Stones or bricks for paths
- Coloured stones or pebbles for decoration (big or small)
- Wooden bench seats or used wooden chairs
- Wind chimes
- CDs or DVDs
These materials do not need to be new.
If you have any other items that could be suitable for the new Sensory Garden, please don’t hesitate to let us know! You may contact Jill at 0439 358 144 or Iris at 0447 328 084 if you are happy to make a donation.
Many thanks for your support.
Kind regards,
Parents and Friends Association
Our next P&F Meeting will be Friday 16th August @9am in the conference room. Everyone is welcome.
