NEWS ADMINISTRATION
Mrs Caroline Galea
Last Monday, some of our families received a MACSIS survey link which was emailed to you. Each year we ask our families to fill in this survey to the best of their knowledge so we can gain an understanding of our strengths and challenges. These results allow us to set future directions. If you are one of the families asked to complete this survey, please put some time aside to do so, as your thoughts and insights are valued.
Next week, I will be joining other Principals on a pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi until the school holidays. Following on from this, I will be taking an additional two weeks Long Service Leave for the first two weeks of Term 4. In my absence, Derryn Ling will be Acting Principal. We are also looking for a new member on our SAC board. We thank Tim for the work he has done in our school and wish him all the best as he now enters the realm of Secondary school. (Please seek a nomination form from Derryn)

Story Time
Our fourth story time session on Tuesday 3 September @2.20pm was a great success with the children making ducks with Mrs Luisa Cecala.
We have one more session on Thursday 19 September @9.15am.
If you would like to come along, please ring the office.
Fathers' Day Stall
We hope all our fathers & special people enjoyed the gifts from your children.
A BIG thank you to Mariella Alessi who organised and prepared the stall and also to the parents who volunteered to help at the stall.
P&F Chocolate Drive
The drive finishes tomorrow. Please either send in your money envelope to the office via your child (write child's name & grade on envelope) OR if preferred, ring Leanne to pay $60 by credit card over the phone OR come to the office to tap/swipe your debit or credit card.

Please read the Parents and Friends page for more information.

Prep - 2 Swimming Program
Next week, our Prep - 2 students will begin their Junior Swimming Program. This intensive swimming will take place every day from Monday 9th September - Friday 20th September. Each day, the students will have a 45 minute lesson at Reservoir Leisure Centre. We invite all parents who have a valid Working with Children Check to come along and help if you are willing and able. Please label your children's clothing as they often don't recognise their own towels etc. that have been left behind. More information has been sent out via Seesaw to all Prep - 2 families.
Lost Property
In addition to the glasses & keys found over the past weeks, late last week, one of our students left a brown paper Priceline bag with interesting 'insects encased in perspex', in the Library area. If you recognise any of the items in the pictures below, please come to the office.
We have also had an almost brand new size 6 school jacket handed in... it was inadvertently taken home by a student. If your child lost their jacket early this term or late last term, please see Leanne.
E-SAFETY
We are often asked about safety online. Please refer to the e-safety commission website which is a wealth of information.
