Principal's Report
Yes, it was another busy Friday morning at Holy Rosary today. In honour of Father’s Day on Sunday, we hope our Dad’s who came along this morning for a pre-celebratory Danish and Cuppa thoroughly enjoyed sharing such a special moment with our school community. A pure heart is the headline message for the Gospel this week. As a general rule children obey their parents’ rule for fear of punishment. And mostly, once we reach maturity we recognise the love behind the rules. Dad’s may not always see eye to eye with their children but always heart to heart. I once read a quote about a Father’s love that used the analogy of moving parts found on a ship, and it went something like this. Father’s are not an anchor to hold us back, nor a sail to take us where we want to go, but a guiding light whose love shows us the way. May we all be grateful this weekend as we give thanks for the special Dad’s we have in our lives.
I am heading to Belgium this weekend with 3 other members from our diocese and other
leaders from the school and diocesan levels across Australia. We will partake in an intensive study course at the Catholic University of Leuven, for two weeks. During this period of time we will be interacting with various professors, researchers and field experts who are heavily invested in a project which focuses on Enhance Catholic Schools Identity. While I am away Mandy and Shelley will be taking care of the day to day running of the school. I look forward to returning for the last week of term on Monday 16th September and sharing my learning with our staff and other Religious Leaders within the Sandhurst Diocese.
Paul will also be returning to attend camp with our teaching staff and Grade 4 cohort next Tuesday and Wednesday. Good luck and best wishes to all our campers, may you travel safely, embrace any challenges with a positive mindset and return to school with a renewed thirst for learning.
