Celebrating Student Success in French: The DELF Exam
Students with a strong background in French have the exciting opportunity to take the DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) exam. This prestigious certification is recognised worldwide and is offered at various levels, from A1 to B2. The exam assesses students' proficiency in four key areas: listening, reading, writing, and speaking.
We are thrilled to congratulate Kate C in Year 9, who recently achieved success in her DELF B1 exam and is now preparing for the DELF B2 exam. Her dedication is inspiring and we wish her continued success.
I’ve been a part of the DELF program for just over a year. I started learning French when I started school in Canada and by the time I left in Year 7 my comprehension and fluency of the language was quite high. To ensure that I wouldn’t lose the skill I and so I could continue learning, I joined DELF French classes. During my time I have completed the B1 exam which translates to an intermediate level. Every week I spend two hours on a Tuesday afternoon with a small group of students after school. We practise comprehension skills, listening in French and writing. Overall, my experience with DELF has helped me to continue to improve my French and have given me the chance to test and advance my level of French. Now I study at a B2 level ever since I passed the B1 test. I’m very appreciative of my time preparing for DELF, and I highly recommend joining for students with a good level in French
