Book week | Update

This week, our school had a wonderful time celebrating this year's Book Week with the theme, ‘Reading is Magic’.

As part of our Book Week celebrations, the students were delighted to participate in an incursion by Read by Renee that sparked their imagination and inspired their love of literature. The junior students watched in amazement as ‘The Wizard of Oz’ story was brought to life through an immersive and interactive storytelling experience where students played a crucial part in the retelling of the story. The senior students were immersed in the world of Narnia as they engaged in a retell of the classic story, ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’, and were led through a treasure hunt to search for items from Narnia.

To conclude our week, we marvelled at the incredible book week costumes that both staff and students dressed up as, capturing everyone's favourite characters and books at our annual Book Week parade. During our morning assembly, we also had our ‘Read In’ where students and teachers brought a book to enjoy.
