Principal's Report
Book Week
There was a real buzz of excitement last Friday, when the students came to school in costume, dressed as their favourite book character for the Book Parade. There were so many great costumes – well done to all involved! Thank you to the staff for immersing themselves in the enjoyment of books to come dressed as their favourite book characters too. It was also great to see so many parents at the assembly to help celebrate. Thank you to Cara Willis for her organisation of the event and to Tom Pitts, MC Extraordinaire!
Eureka!
The first performance of ‘Eureka!’ our Musical is only 14 sleeps away!! Over the past week there have been Compass news feeds sent out with information on how to purchase tickets and how to listen to the amazing original soundtrack, produced by Tom Pitts, our music maestro, and sung by our students. We encourage all members of our school community to come along to see this original and fantastic production at the Alexander Theatre, Monash University. I am sure all our students that aren’t part of the cast will love to see their buddies and friends performing!
District Athletics
Tomorrow 78 of our Year 4, 5 and 6 students will compete in the Bayside District Athletics Competition at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve. I am sure our students will try their very best and represent themselves and our school with enthusiasm and pride. Go Gardenvale!!
