Foundation 

 

In the last fortnight, students in Foundation have be exploring a range of different art concepts, such as warm and cool colours, use of line and colour. Students have continued to develop and use their knowledge of Spanish vocabulary of colours and their colour theory by stating whether or not the colours they have chosen are colores frios o calidos. This week students created their own examples of Keith Haring's Dancing Figures. 

 

Grade 1/2

 

This week the Grade 1/2 students explored contrast, repetition,  pattern and line by creating Kawaii eggs. They learnt that 'kawaii' means cute in Japanese. For this activity students were to repeatedly draw various sized eggs, which they were then to draw different cute faces on each of them.

Grade 3/4

 

The Grade 3/4's have been super busy these last few weeks multi tasks and having various art activities on the go. From finishing off the designs on their bags, to designing a Kasey Rainbow inspired word mantra and finally creating building silhouettes.

Grade 5/6

This past fortnight students in Grade 5/6 have been working on using known watercolour techniques to create their own examples of Chantal De Latour's Nostalgic food paintings. Students were to unpack the theme of nostalgia based on memories based on food, books, movies and events.
