St John Vianney's Feast Day!
St John Vianney's feast day is a day we always look forward to. We started our day learning about St. John Vianney's life, his family and his journey of becoming a Saint. Kaboom helped us celebrate with so much energy competing as countries to get the gold medal!
Hayden: Kaboom was fun because the activities were great.
Jayden T: Kaboom was fun because we got to run around.
Jaiden: It was fun because we had activities and we were competing with other people.
Potato Olympics
To celebrate the Olympics we participated in the Potato Olympics where we used Potatoes as athletes to compete in different events. We had to use our maths skills of measuring and data collection, to score points for our team.
Xavier: I liked the Potato Olympics because it was fun and competitive.
Noah: Potato Olympics was my favorite thing this term as we got to make our potatoes. We took the potatoes to school and we also played a game with them.
Zehra: I liked the Potato Olympics because we had to decorate them and we could play fun activities.
Luke: Potato Olympics was good because I got to be in a different classroom.
Swimming
Swimming started last week. It has been amazing to be able to spend time each day in the pool and improve our skills.
Jack: It's the best time when we get to go swimming because I just love swimming and going to it every week.
Evan: Swimming is very helpful because if you drown you can get out by yourself and it's really fun when you do swimming lessons.
Felicia: Swimming is very helpful just in case you fall into the middle of the ocean off a boat and you know how to swim.
Cindy: Swimming was so fun because you could go out of school and you can do lots of fun things.
Sia: You got to learn new things and skills.
Nickolas: Swimming is good to do at school because it could save your life if you're ever in a water situation.
Stella: Swimming teaches us a lot about how to swim for young people. Swimming is for everyone.
Jayden V: Swimming is fun because you get to learn new stuff.
Alex: Swimming was fun because I was with my friends.
Religious Education
As a part of our study of the Catholic Social Teachings, we looked at the meaning and importance of Solidarity. The Catholic Social Teachings teach us that human dignity can be protected and a healthy community can be achieved only if human rights are protected and responsibilities are met.
Grace: It was fun because you could do whatever decoration you wanted and you could pick your own word.
Heidi: Solidarity is important because it's when you respect and treat people fairly, work as a team. You don't have to do it by yourself if you can’t.
Gurfateh: Teamwork, we always work together and help each other which shows Solidarity
Jasmine: I liked doing this activity because it was fun and you could do any word you wanted to do.
Tara: Solidarity is about equality and being helpful and thoughtful to one another.
