From the Music Room

Over the past few weeks each class has been learning the song “Shorty Creek” or “Shorti Kirk” both in English and Kriol. This song was written by a group of students at Barunga Remote Community School in the Northern Territory. Everyone has enjoyed the actions, rhyming words, and the challenge of singing this in a new language. 

Next Friday the whole school will be singing it at our assembly.   During the week we will collect gold coin donations which will be sent to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. We hope your family can make a small donation and also come along to hear this beautiful song. 

Our JUNIOR CHOIR will also be performing at next Friday's assembly.
