Each year the Department of Education and Training (DET) asks parents from each Victorian Government school to provide feedback through its Parent, Caregiver and Guardian Opinion Survey.
This on-line survey is an opportunity for our parents/carers to give feedback to our school regarding our achievements. This is NOT just for negative feedback. We encourage parents/carers who also have positive feedback to also complete the survey.
The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. We encourage and appreciate your participation.
Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.
The 2024 Parent, Caregiver and Guardian Opinion Survey is available to complete online from Monday 29 July to Friday 30 August 2024.
Please look out for further instructions and a link to the online survey via Compass.
All surveys are anonymous.
Student Led conferences were highly successful once again. Students did an amazing job presenting their learning, achievements and learning steps to parents.
Parents were given the option of either a face-to-face conference or a Webex conference on our alternative school day – Wednesday 26th June.
24% of parents chose to do a Webex Student Led Conference and 67% attended a face-to-face conference, which totals 91% of our families! This clearly demonstrates to your child that you are supportive of their learning and interested in their learning progress. Well done!
Thank you to all the parents who attended, either through Webex or by your attendance at school.
Congratulations! This week, our Foundation students celebrated the wonderful milestone of “100 Days of School”. What a lot of learning has occurred in such a short time! These students have begun reading, know their letters and sounds, can write sentences / stories and engage knowledgeably in Maths activities. Also, importantly, they have learnt to work together in groups, co-operate with each other and demonstrate our school values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Honesty and Learning.
Foundation students were invited to dress up as anything that related to the number ‘100’. It was delightful to see many families go to the trouble of organising their child’s outfits for the day. Dress-ups ranged from 100-year olds and self-designed tops with number facts to 100. It is a wonderful achievement for all Foundation students.
Students were engaged in activities throughout the day. This day included counting objects up to 100, writing activities about what they dressed up as and creating a “100 Days of School” crown.
Thank you once again to all the families that embraced the spirit of dressing up for the occasion, as well as the Foundation team for putting together a wonderful day for all students.
