3/4 CLASSROOM

As we are nearing the end of the term we are beginning to prepare for our termly ERP (education research project) expo. This term we have been learning about Australian history, particularly Aboriginal history and the first contact with the British. There has been a lot of interest in the grade 3/4 room around this topic... some areas of interest for our ERPs are:

- Bush tucker and indigenous plants

- The gold rush

- Megafauna

- The First Fleet

- Aboriginal tools and traditions

We will be presenting what we have learnt in the last week of the term.

We have been busy preparing for our Arts on show concert in week 10. We have been practicing our 4 items that we will be singing and dancing to. Our songs are... The acknowledgement of country song, Rio, Reach for the stars and Ain't no mountain high enough. This will be at St Mels School in Shepparton.

This week is swimming week. We have been travelling to Aquamoves in Shepparton to do our 45 minute swimming lessons. Some of our favourite things about swimming are...

Zoe: 'learning how to do dives'.

Alia: 'Learning how to improve my swimming'.

Bryce: 'Just having fun'.

Thomas: 'probably diving and playing with the sports equipment'

Archie: 'Doing freestyle'.

Mason: 'backstroke and freestyle and swimming the whole pool'.

Bodhi: 'No homework!'

Eleanor: 'probably having a good swim teacher'

Jaida: 'doing freestyle'
