Principal`s Message

The Theme of Book Week this year was Reading is Magic and for me highlights the power of literature to transform our lives and ignite our imaginations. Reading has the extraordinary ability to transport us to different worlds, spark creativity, and offer insights into the human experience. This theme celebrates the whimsical and transformative nature of books, encouraging readers of all ages to discover the magic that lies within the pages of a good story. It underscores how literature can inspire, uplift, and connect us, reminding us that every book has the potential to create a little bit of magic in our lives.

Book Week Parade

Book Week Parade! The excitement and enthusiasm were palpable as students and staff alike dressed up as their favourite book characters. Book week is always a highlight for me on any school calendar as it  celebrates a love of reading and creativity in our students.

Mini Olympics

Our Mini Olympics was another major success, blessed with a sunny day that set the perfect scene for our activities. It was wonderful to see so many happy faces and keen participation from students of all ages. The day was filled with energy and camaraderie, showcasing the spirit of teamwork and friendly competition. A big thank you to Bree and Jenni for all their hard work in organising this wonderful event.

Curriculum Day

Last Friday's Curriculum Day was a productive one for our staff. We focused on rolling out our new SWPBS (School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support) initiative, which is designed to reinforce our school values of respect, courage, and empathy. The day was dedicated to professional development and strategic planning to ensure that we continue to provide a positive and supportive learning environment for our students.

SWPBS is a proactive approach that emphasises the teaching and reinforcement of appropriate behaviours across all school settings. By clearly defining and consistently modelling our core values of Respect, Courage, and Empathy, we aim to foster a climate where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to excel.

The initiative involves a structured framework for recognising positive behaviours, providing support for students who may need additional assistance, and creating a unified approach among staff to promote and sustain these behaviours.

The goal is to build a supportive school culture that not only enhances student behaviour but also contributes to their overall well-being and academic success. We are excited about the positive impact this initiative will have on our school community and are committed to working collaboratively to make it a success.
