Have Your Say on the Teesdale Recreation & Events Space!

The Golden Plains Shire Council has developed site plans for the Teesdale Turtle Bend Events and Recreation Space, and now they want to hear from YOU! This is your chance to shape the future of our community’s recreational space.

Make sure to share your thoughts by Friday, 13 September.

Opportunities like this don’t come around often. It’s essential that everyone—across all age groups—gets involved. If we want an incredible recreation space that meets the needs of everyone, we need your input!

The site plans are a great start, but let’s ensure this space truly supports our whole community, especially our older youth (ages 12-20), who represent a significant part of Teesdale. This isn’t just about “upgrading” the space; it’s about creating something that works for all of us.

While the plans provide good detail on the adventure playspace, multi-use courts, and fitness areas, they fall short on specifics for the skate park, BMX track, and other features like a pump track.

Let’s make sure our voices are heard. Inverleigh’s new recreational space shows what we can achieve with strong community involvement. Let’s aim for the same here in Teesdale.
