Shadow: A shadow is the dark shape made when something blocks light.

Light: Light is a form of energy. Natural sources of light are the sun and fire, however, the light bulbs we use to light our houses or the screens on our electronic devices are artificial.

Have your child create a science experiment to explore shadows from a light source.

Ask your child to create a shadow puppet out of materials around the house. Have them experiment with different sources of light to create shadows.
